My name is Alex Shiga. I have been a freelance illustrator for over 7 years, working from various places around the world.

Six years ago I started as a complete beginner. I learned what it means to earn a living as a freelancer with no previous experience working in the industry and without an established presence in the art world. It wasn’t easy to achieve stability but it was very much possible. I now work on movie production, game development and book illustration projects. I will tell you everything I know about being a freelance artist so that hopefully your road to success is much easier than mine. This website is aimed to be a source of information to help beginning and seasoned freelancers earn money on their art, no matter what their current situation in life is.
